What is the Most Trustworthy Verse in the Bible?

Hey guys, I want to encourage you today to get to know God's character. A huge part of who He is—His very nature—is faithfulness. But what does that really mean?

2 Timothy 2:11-13 states, "Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself."

That's good news. He swears by himself.

Does it mean we get everything we want, exactly when we want it? No. God’s faithfulness isn’t about fulfilling our every desire—it’s about never leaving us, never failing us, and always doing what is best for us. Even when life feels uncertain, we can trust that He is steady, unchanging, and true to His promises.

He is our protector. He is our refuge. He is the Most High. The same God who parted the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, and raised Jesus from the dead is the same God who walks with us today. He doesn’t abandon His people—He is faithful from generation to generation.

So no matter what you’re facing, remember: If we die to ourselves and live for Him, we will also experience the fullness of life with Him. Trust that He is working, even when you can’t see it. Rest in the truth that His faithfulness will carry you through.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being faithful even when I struggle to trust. Help me to know You more deeply and to rest in the truth that You are my refuge and protector. I surrender my fears and desires to You, knowing that Your plans are greater than mine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
