For Those Looking to Be Right with the Lord... This is for You..

Hi friends! Did you know that God is here with us, with me, with you? A perfect verse that explores this is:
Ephesians 3:14–19 (NIV), and it reads:
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father,15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
These verses are so beautiful to me as it depicts the truth of the Father’s desire to be one with Him. Jesus prayed for this in John 17, and honestly, the entire Old Testament—the sacrifices, the law, the prophets—all of it pointed to God's heart and longing for closeness with us. Then Jesus came, the fullness of God revealed, and everything about His life and death showed us that God is love (1 John 4).
And in Ephesians 3, Paul is reminding us that we’re not just called to know this love intellectually—but we’re supposed to feel it fr. We’re supposed to meditate on it, be rooted in it, live from it.
So what does this mean for me, and potentially you this week?
Repentance.All of us will fall short. In big ways, and not so big ways. So know that.. I mess up. You mess up. We are humans. God knows that and he still chooses us. It’s humbling, but necessary. That’s where the intimacy starts—when our eyes are open to truth. I want to do good, but sometimes I can be bad, but my worth is not even found in my suffering- rather in the love of God because I am made in HIS image.
Recognizing that the Christian walk is a journey.This walk is not easy. It’s hard. Very hard. & depending on what city, your culture, and your personal experiences- the walk may be easier or harder. One, we should all be nicer to each other. Two we need to come to this realization that it’s not about following steps—it’s about transformation from the inside out. Real change, heart-level change. We should be growing in the fruit of the spirit- in love, compassion, empathy, care.
Centering on God's love.We must understand that sanctification is a byproduct of God’s love. It’s a spiritual happening. We have to be okay with understanding spiritual things, meaning we may not understand it LOL, but glory be to God. Let’s rejoice in it. Have gratitude for it. Jesus and His atoning sacrifice cover our past, our present, and our future. That’s crazy love. And it’s ours.
Sharing that love.We don’t just receive it—we share it. This kind of love isn’t meant to be kept quiet. Yes we should share scriptures, but first get to know his love. Thats what changes the world.
Application:
I want to say this clearly: I’m not perfect. I never will be. And neither will you. But through Jesus and our faith in Him, we are made righteous. That’s the beauty of the gospel. We won’t get it 100% right this side of heaven, and we don’t have to pretend we do.What we can do is follow His words and pray for that oneness with God. That’s the goal.
This week:
Share this with someone! Spend time in the Word. Start with the Gospels—John, Luke, Matthew, Mark. Then dig into Romans to understand sin and grace. And then Ephesians, where God’s love is all over the pages.Honestly, it might take more than a week. But that’s okay. This is meat—and it’s worth chewing on. It will fill you, it will sustain you. It will transform you.
Let this be your reminder: you are deeply loved, and God wants to dwell with you. & Good fruit takes time.
