Remembering the Wonders: Never Forget What the Lord Has Done

Hi friends! Do you meditate on God’s faithfulness?

Remembering all God has done.

Not just for you, but for His people. Deuteronomy 8:11 reads,  “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.”

God’s faithfulness to Israel was never about their worthiness but His promise. When He led them out of Egypt, it wasn’t because they had earned it—it was because He had chosen them, honoring His covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3). This is an Old Testament shadow of the greater deliverance to come through Jesus Christ.

Just as God provided for Israel in the wilderness—giving them manna, water, and guidance—He has also provided for us. The ultimate provision is Jesus, our salvation, who delivers us not just from physical struggles but from sin and death.

Even when we forget Him, He does not forget us. His grace is both universal and personal.

• “He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” — Matthew 5:45

• “If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.” — 2 Timothy 2:13

Application

1. Read Exodus → Highlight where God provides, protects, and saves His people.

2. Reflect → What does this reveal about God’s character?

3. Remember → Just as God delivered Israel, He has delivered you from something. Meditate on His faithfulness in your own life.

Prayer

Lord, show me Your faithfulness. Help me to learn Your character and trust You more. Remind me that my salvation and blessings come from You, not my own doing. May I never forget who You are and what You have done. Amen.
