Do you answer the phone when wisdom calls? Or are you missing it?
Wisdom is more than just knowledge. It’s applied understanding, discernment, and good judgment. To be wise is to think ahead, recognize God’s truth, and live a life that honors Him.
Proverbs 1:7 tells us: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Wisdom starts with knowing God and revering Him.
Other Proverbs about wisdom include:
Proverbs 2: Wisdom brings knowledge, understanding, and discernment.
Proverbs 3:13-15: “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.”
Proverbs 4:7-9: “Get wisdom, though it cost all you have, get understanding. Cherish her, and she will honor you.”
Proverbs 8:22-31 (summary): Wisdom was with God at the very beginning, before the earth was formed.
This month—and for the rest of our lives—let’s pursue wisdom the God way.
Here’s a challenge: Read one chapter of Proverbs every day. Don’t just skim it—study it. Grab a journal, define key words, and reflect on how these ancient truths apply to your life today.
Let’s commit to obtaining wisdom at all costs and living lives that glorify God!
Blessings,
