Exploring God's Character: A Journey in Relearning Truth

Do you know who God is? Do you know how to find out who he is?

Well, think about this… When we were in elementary school and had to take classes such as English, Science, or Social Studies, we were tasked with finding our answers by going back to the text; making an inference; or using our critical thinking skills to come up with a response. In math, we had to work through the problem through steps or logic.

When it comes to the wisdom of God, we are to follow the same process. God provides us with knowledge of who He is, how he acts, and why he does certain things, but it is up to us to SEEK.

In Exodus 3:14-15, God tells us directly who He is by saying “I AM.” In Matthew 7:7, Jesus tells us,  “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

So that leads me to ask, Are we spending enough time with him in prayer and studying to make an accurate inference?

Just like in school, some answers may be almost correct but are not. We want to make sure that we know God for sure. Not based on “what we think”, or “opinions, but on the FACTS.

You may have asked or still have questions such as:

Is God real? Why do bad things happen to good people? What is sin? Why do we get punished? Does God love us? Does God love me?

& that’s okay because the scripture tells us:

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman. that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the. word of truth."

Philippians 2:12, “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.”

This shows us that we will have questions, but it is our responsibility to find these things, because God has given us the answers, and wants us to CHOOSE HIM.
